We often think of risk as a negative force, something to be avoided or mitigated. If you ask most middle managers what their main job is, a majority will reflect that they manage the flow of work to their people and manage the risks of the work. Project managers will cite the PMBOK’s Risk Management process as a core part of their discipline.
